Guru Nanak Institute of Dental Sciences and Research is a private dental college located in Panihati, Kolkata, in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences and is recognised by Dental Council of India.

The Institute offers Bachelor in Dental Surgery (BDS - 100 seats) and Masters in Dental Surgery (MDS - 32 seats) in Seven different speciality subjects namely:

Under The West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata. During their studies both BDS & MDS students have an unique opportunity to treat in a hospital with an OPD of around 600 patients per day, under the able guidance of experienced doctors.

  • BDS (Bachelor in Dental Surgery) 5 Years full time Degree Programme
  • MDS (Masters in Dental Surgery) 3 Years full time Master Degree Programme

 

 

BDS Course of studies

The candidate must have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the BDS course. The candidate must have passed Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent at 10+2 level from a recognized council/board and passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English individually, and obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, will be eligible for admission. Mere fulfilling eligibility criteria do not guarantee admission. Admission will be solely based on NEET and university admission guidelines.

MDS Rules & Regulations

For MDS Course of studies: Candidate should have passed BDS from Govt. India / DCI recognized College & University Candidate should have permanent registration from Dental Council of India/State Council. Mere fulfilling eligibility criteria does not guarantee admission. Admission will be solely based on the merit in NEET as per preference given in the application.

Hostel Admission Fee For M.D.S Students Rs. 10000/-(to be paid at the time of Hostel Admission) & Hostel Fee Rs. 6000/- per month (including fooding & lodging).

Examination Fees (for every semester), University Registration Fees (one time payment) are to be paid as per University Regulations as and when notified by the University.
